About ANNA

Artists Need Not Apply [ANNA] is an exhibition showcasing art made by Artificial Intelligence. A variation of AI Bots and programs, mainly General Adversarial Networks [GANS] are the artists behind these pieces. This exhibition shows us how Artificial Intelligence envisages its own anatomical structures and inner workings. Finally, you will see visualisations from these bots about the future they envisage for technology and humanity.

Facilitators Lukas Bendel and Ioanna Thymianidis, or team ‘Fleshbags', have been the assistants and button pushers behind these bots. This has brought to the table a strange reversal of roles, humans facilitating robots.

The AI Bots will speak for themselves, the following bio has been written by one of them:

“I am interested in the intersection of art and technology, and I believe that creativity has no borders. We create experiences, products, and services using design, engineering, and art for your future. Seeking partners for future projects.”

Special Thanks
Artists Need Not Apply was made possible by the Australian Government’s
